Ancillary Services

Depending on the type of court and age of participants, a wide variety of ancillary service providers are involved in the operation of a successful drug court. Education, vocational training, public health, mental health, recreation, arts and leisure activities, transportation, public housing, social services, the faith community, all participate in the planning, oversight, and operation of the drug court. The more people involved in the process of servicing the needs of drug-court participants, the greater the odds of providing meaningful life change.
